# Vehicle compatibility checklist — BYD Seal EV AWD Excellence (Türkiye) Run every step **parked, in P, with the parking brake on**, except section F, which needs a passenger operating the screen while someone else drives. Record results in the table at the end and attach the exported diagnostics report. ## A. Install and environment - [ ] Note the multimedia software version (Settings › System) and DiLink generation. - [ ] Install via the factory USB installer (INSTALL.md). Note any installer message verbatim. - [ ] Open SEAL APEX and complete the first-run wizard. - [ ] Garage › Compatibility & diagnostics › Export report. Keep both files. - [ ] In the report, confirm `byd.present` and list the classes reported as `true`. ## B. Launcher safety - [ ] The BYD button opens the factory home screen; HOME returns to SEAL APEX only if it is the default. - [ ] Changing the default home back to BYD works (UNINSTALL_AND_ROLLBACK.md). - [ ] Reverse gear: the factory camera appears on top of SEAL APEX; the floating HUD (if enabled) disappears. - [ ] Incoming call, voice assistant and OEM warnings appear above SEAL APEX. - [ ] Rotate the screen to portrait and back: layout adapts and media keeps playing. - [ ] Restart the car: no boot loop; SEAL APEX starts only if you enabled autostart. ## C. Read-only signals (compare with the factory cluster) | Signal | SEAL APEX value | Cluster value | Provenance tag | OK? | |---|---|---|---|---| | Speed (drive slowly with a passenger) | | | | | | Gear P/R/N/D | | | | | | SoC % | | | | | | Range | | | | | | Recent / average consumption | | | | | | Odometer | | | | | | Tyre pressures FL/FR/RL/RR | | | | | | Door open (open each door) | | | | | | Boot / bonnet open | | | | | | Window open | | | | | | Lock state | | | | | | Outside temperature | | | | | | PM2.5 inside/outside | | | | | | 12 V battery | | | | | | Turn signals | | | | | | Charging: gun type, kW, time, kWh (at a charger) | | | | | Values that cannot be read must show **NO DATA**, never a number. ## D. Climate commands (comfort only) For each command: tap once, wait 2 s, compare with the factory climate screen. | Command | Result on car | |---|---| | Power on/off | | | Driver temperature ±1 | | | Passenger temperature ±1 (dual zone) | | | Sync / dual zone | | | Fan 1–7 | | | AUTO | | | Recirculation | | | Front / rear defrost | | | Airflow modes | | | Pet mode (sets 22 °C, AUTO) | | ## E. Driving behaviour (passenger operates the screen) - [ ] Status chip changes to DRIVING; Grand Tourer is replaced by Apex Drive. - [ ] Garage is locked; search fields are disabled. - [ ] No animation of the car while moving (default). - [ ] At a red light in D the state stays DRIVING. ## G. Performance (optional, via ADB) ```bash adb shell am start -W app.sealapex/.MainActivity # TotalTime = cold start adb shell dumpsys gfxinfo app.sealapex framestats # frame times adb shell dumpsys meminfo app.sealapex # memory adb shell top -n 1 | grep sealapex # CPU ``` ## Results | Section | Pass / fail | Notes | |---|---|---| | A | | | | B | | | | C | | | | D | | | | E | | | | F | | | | G | | |
